Prepare images for business listings, websites and documents

A clear business photograph helps people evaluate a shop, service or place before they visit. The original camera file, however, is often much larger than a listing needs. Resize the photograph to the dimensions your destination accepts, then compress a copy. Keep the original separately so that you can make a different version for print or a larger screen later. A smaller download is useful only when customers can still see the details that matter.

JPG is a practical choice for photographs with many colors and smooth gradients. PNG preserves transparency and works well for sharp graphics, screenshots and logos. WebP can combine compact files with transparency for modern websites. Converting a JPG to PNG does not restore information that was lost during earlier compression. Likewise, repeatedly saving a photograph as JPG can introduce visible artifacts. Make each final export from your best available original rather than from an already compressed copy.

Crop removes unwanted surroundings without stretching the subject. Resize changes the pixel dimensions of the whole image. Lock the aspect ratio when you want people, buildings and products to retain their proportions. Rotate corrects the orientation, while horizontal and vertical flips create mirrored versions. Before publishing, check that text on signs remains readable and that a mirrored picture does not misrepresent the actual location. Bulk resizing is useful when a gallery needs consistent dimensions, and the ZIP download keeps the processed files together.

For documents, Image to PDF puts selected pictures into a single file. Choose an A4 page when you expect someone to print it, or fit the page to the image when preserving its dimensions matters more. PDF to Image produces a separate raster picture of every page. The resulting pictures no longer have selectable document text. SVG tracing is best suited to simple marks and line art; complex photographs generally produce many paths and may lose subtle detail. Render an existing SVG to PNG when an upload form does not accept vector files.

The editing and conversion tools process selected files on your device. Your browser may download an open-source library to handle HEIC, vector tracing or PDF files, but these tools do not upload your selected documents.
